Terry and I drove to our favourite strawberry patch, in hopes that we would find some fresh local berries...
We were surprised to learn that they’d been open since early in the month. Our recent hot spell pushed the season forward. So we’ve already missed a week!
Last year we made jam several times. But that’s not something I want to do if our hot weather persists.
Self-picking is another option.
In the current heat, I just want to buy them to eat fresh!
