I no longer plant a vegetable garden... but the flowers in my perennial beds provide delicious “food for the soul”!
These days, flowers in shades of purple are in bloom, warming my soul...
Irises, small and large....
Geraniums - that bloom all summer long...
Persian cornflowers...
And, behind the cornflowers, peonies, on the verge of blooming.
A few days later, here they are in bloom, a mix of singles and doubles.
They were here when we bought our house.
This year, in particular - with the dust and noise of construction across the street - I‘m SO, SO glad I can turn and look at these beautiful flowers instead.
