Neighborhood Change: The Sports Dome is Down For the Winter!

For years a plastic dome has covered the nearby college soccer field in winter. With the dome up, the field could be rented out to the community. Indoor sports activities could continue all winter long.

It has been years - because I remember the neighbor who used to live across the street complain because it blocked his view. (He lived in the house that was recently demolished.)

This year the dome was up all summer - but now, in fall, it has come down. I guess the college has no expectation of renting it out in the winter during a pandemic. 

I recently watched it deflate...

A few hours later, it was on the ground. Now it needs to be folded up and put away...

Wow! It came down fast!
