I didn't use up all my clay during my last pottery session.
Why not make a few things at home - outdoors?!
One problem was having to bring water and tools outdoors... then take everything back indoors when I was done.
But I didn't want to bring all the dust of pottery making into the house. The hand-building worked quite well.
Another problem was the changing light. I was okay when the sun was bright and overhead, but I found it harder to see details when the sun moved and I found myself in the shade.
I did manage to get some work done... This "elephant bowl" is now drying in the basement ... until my next pottery session, when I can have it fired in the studio kiln.
