After three days of travel through Quebec and New Brunswick, we finally arrived at our destination - Prince Edward Island.
We were looking forward to crossing the Confederation Bridge, the longest bridge in the world over ice-covered water (in winter).
Driving across took about 10 minutes...
It was strange to see nothing but blue water over the side barrier - and a two-lane road ahead...
Eventually land was in sight!
We later watched a film about the building of the bridge - an impressive engineering feat!
When we finally arrived on land again, we stretched our legs, walking around the monument honoring the bridge builders.
Then we drove half an hour to Charlottetown, to our B&B island home...
