Stew is one of my favourite meals in winter.
I originally used the recipe in my Fanny Farmer cookbook to guide me, but I don’t follow a recipe anymore...
Every once in a while I experiment by adding new things. Currently I add sliced mushrooms to the onions and garlic I sauté with the meat. And when it comes to adding spices, I simply add half a cup of spicy salsa. I don’t need to add many more spices than that!
