Bird-shaped Coffee Filters

My daughter makes what she calls “pour-over” coffee. It resembles what I used to call Melitta coffee, back in the day.

She recently showed me some novelty coffee filters (from Japan) that she bought...

(My first thought was that I could probably cut Regular Melitta-style filters into a similar shape... But that’s just me!)

When I saw this picture of two shadow filter “love birds,” it occurred to me that these bird-shaped filters would be perfect for coffee on  Valentine’s Day!
