My mother had a lovely orchid in a north-facing window. It was always in bloom!
Inspired by her success, I got an orchid, but it doesn’t bloom as much as my mother’s did.
A while back, it developed buds - but nothing more. Was our house too cold? Had I forgotten to water it? Did it need more sunlight?
I moved the plant to a west-facing window... I added liquid fertilizer to the water...
A few days later, I see the buds are starting to bloom...
I wonder which of these changes nudged the plant along...
