My daughter was intrigued. She immediately looked it up online - and found this picture... But what really astounded her was that she didn't recognize any of the names it is apparently "commonly known" as!
Do you know any of them? she asked me.
Hmmm. I can't say I've ever heard of nalta jute or tossa jute... How "common" is this vegetable? ...
Common enough, apparently, to be sold in Toronto!
