My son recently planted sixty tiny saplings around the perimeter of his property in the country…
It was interesting for me - a fellow gardener - to watch him water them on a warm - but mosquito-infested - evening.
It does take discipline to water them, day after day.
(Especially since the tree expert who gave him the trees told him that half - or more - may likely be eaten by roaming rabbits and deer!)
