Finding a Lovely Painting

This has been my winter of sorting through ... stuff! Boxes of shredded paper have gone out for recycling.

But a few long forgotten souvenirs have also resurfaced, like this card illustrated by the father of one of my students.

Mr. Ileri, the artist, was the Turkish Consul General in Jerusalem in the early 1970s, but painting must have been his hobby.

(I wonder if he ever gained fame as a painter.)
