Pepper Tree Update

The pepper tree that I kept indoors for the  winter is back on my daughter’s balcony.

If I’ve learned anything, it’s that I should have cut it back in early spring so that it would be fuller and more compact.

It’s growing more like a vine now... with long spindly branches, one of which is wound around the balcony railing.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that the peppers that have developed in the six weeks the plant has been outdoors are round and purple, larger than the red ones, now shrivelled, that grew indoors.

I wonder why.
