I buy a lot of books... But for years I’ve been hearing that physical books will soon become obsolete - replaced by digital copies, read on e-readers.
So I was surprised recently to read about a successful book store, in southern Ontario, featured in “Canadian Business” magazine. Surprised to read that they ship books to 80 countries...
So physical books are still in demand?!
Their operation is so large that a conveyor belt moves the books around the depot.
(Though some sorting is still done by hand.)
Glad to see that books aren’t waning in popularity. Hopefully they’ll still be around for some time to come.
