The day was windy - there were white caps on the river.
But we decided to go for a little walk.
Not far away, we saw our first baby geese of the season... bundles of yellow fluff that were impressively well behaved as they imitated their parents.
Later we saw a turtle...
... and one of those black birds with a red stripe - that love to sit on tall grasses.
Glad we went - but, with a threat of rain, we didn’t walk around for long.
