I was walking around the yard, checking out the flowers, and I almost stepped on this... resting duck!
I simply didn’t see her! She’s almost camouflaged in the grass.
So trusting...
But I wonder what would have happened if I had accidentally stepped on her! Would she have just squawked... or would her mate - wherever he was - have come to her aid and bit me?! Glad I didn’t find out!
