I’ve been reading the Artist's Rule - a book that encourages practicing art, reflectively, meditatively... and for fun.
One exercise encourages readers to go outdoors with a digital camera and take pictures of "Wabi Sabi" - beauty found in imperfect, impermanent, incomplete or broken things. (Like the tulip petals above.)
Like my garden! Hardly perfect!
Like nature!
Some of the pictures I took weren't very attractive!
But, at the same time, there's something very relaxing about “wabi sabi”!
