One of the three waxed amaryllises I recently bought is showing signs of impending blooming...
It's so exciting to watch it develop!
In contrast, the bulb which bloomed last winter, spent the summer outdoors before I repotted it a few weeks ago. There is no major growth there, but it is hopefully (slowly) coming to life. (I MAY be seeing little shoots appear.) It definitely won't be blooming for Christmas.
On the plus side, if I have amaryllis bulbs so far apart in development, I'm hoping for a LONG season of beautiful indoor flowers.
