A Magical Experience

.

Last Friday night, Terry and I and our older son drove to Almonte, Ontario for a very special experience.

We had never attended this outdoor winter concert before and didn't know what to expect.

When I read online that thousands attend, I was in disbelief. But when I turned around midway through the concert, the street behind us was now full of people for several blocks.

Local singing groups performed in the outdoor air. We were pleasantly surprised to see a singer we knew, together with her group, Voices of Praise.

The main reason we had come was to see our granddaughter who - together with several of her friends from dance class - had been asked to be "Twinkle-fairies" and shake their "magic wands" to see what would happen...

What happened first was that Santa arrived... Then, after s second shaking of the wands, suddenly fireworks appeared...

Even our grandson, who had been on the verge of falling asleep, suddenly took interest.

The evening was "magical"... especially the fireworks finale. It lit up the sky - accompanied by a choir singing Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus"...

I have never enjoyed fireworks more!

So, so beautiful!
