In the book, Circle of Grace by Jan Richardson, I read that today - January 6 (also called Epiphany) - is celebrated in Ireland as “Women’s Christmas.”
The explanation: Traditionally women are responsible for preparing Christmas for the family. Now that it’s over, they take a day off!
What a wonderful idea! So practical!
