This summer has been unusual - I haven’t noticed any bees in our flower beds. On the plus side, it has made getting into the beds and weeding less intimidating.
Fortunately there have been other flying bugs to pollinate the flowers..,
And monarch butterflies!
I have a hard time believing that they fly all the way from Mexico every spring… and return there at the end of our summer... But that’s what I recall hearing on a documentary.
They look too fragile to be capable of that!
