I’m delighted that these red tulips in a front garden bed have survived so far…
Often by this time in the season, as the flowers open up, at least one flower is chewed off… (by a squirrel?!)
It’s left lying on the ground nearby..,
My secret for saving the tulips may be the orange and lemon peels I’ve been leaving nearby.
I read somewhere that squirrels are repelled by citrus peel…
So far, I’m so happy with the results that I’m also trying this trick with other tulips in the yard.
