I was recently looking something up on Google when I happened upon some interesting local trivia.
I’ll share it in the form of two questions:
Question 1: Who was once called the most useful person in Ottawa?
Question 2: Who called him that?!
The answer to Question 1: The man who was the head plumber on Parliament Hill for over 60 years - Wally Clarke.
Answer to Question 2: None other than Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau (father of Canada’s current PM!)
I guess the moral of the story is that you don’t have to be a politician to make an impact in government!
