A few weeks ago, Terry and I were in Carleton Place, a town about half an hour away.
We happened to be walking by a new bicycle rental place, when a TV news reporter approached us.
Where were we from? What activities were we enjoying in town?
What did we think of the idea of biking around town to see more things?
It could be fun - if there were safe bike paths, we replied.
That night we watched the news to see if we were on... We weren't! We kept this up for several nights - then concluded that we hadn't been interesting enough to be on the news.
We had almost forgotten the whole thing when - two weeks later - a friend emailed: Saw you on the news at noon!
We have to record it tonight in case they replay it, I told Terry. So he did!
