Years ago we planted this clematis near our back deck. It's like a large bouquet of flowers visible through the window.
The problem: It's blooming season is too short. By mid-July its blooms are gone.
And we miss its cheerful color!
Why not get another later blooming one, I suggested last year. So we went out and got a Clematis "Josephine" that begins to bloom around the time that this one ends.
We watched it grow - then suddenly it disappeared.
Have I killed it with too much watering? Terry wondered.
But this year something is back again, climbing the trellis.
Its leaves resemble the other plant's.
Has "Josephine" made a come-back?
I hope so... though I don't see any buds. Maybe we'll have to wait another year to see what plant this is!
