I always make a point of carrying small containers of nuts in my purse in case I feel peckish when I'm out and about.
I know they are a source of protein and "healthy fat" - but I didn't know they were also a good source of probiotics.
I checked with Google when I saw this claim on a package of mixed nuts I bought. More than 3 billion probiotics in this smallish 125 gram bag of pumpkin seeds, walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts and cashews. They may have added probiotics... Bacillus subtilis Rosell-179 is listed as an ingredient as well.
