One neighbourhood sign announcing the approach of winter weather is the large seasonal dome that covers the college soccer field when it's too cold to do sports outdoors.
Putting it up every fall and taking it down again in spring is no small feat. First a crane arrives to haul the folded up "tent" out of storage. The tent then needs to be manually spread over the field before it is inflated.
This year, it took several tries to set it up.
Three consecutive days it was partially inflated before it collapsed again.
Not sure what thr problem was... I wonder if it had sprung a leak...
Finally it's up! Seeing it in place reminds me that (unfortunately!) winter weather will undoubtedly soon be here!
