Enjoying Our All-Too-Short Days

I have a hard time focusing on chores around the house when days are warm and sunny.

The lure of day trips is so strong! 

So one day last week,Terry and I headed off for a drive along the St. Lawrence River from Morrisburg to Brockville. 

The scenery is always so beautiful here!

(Housework can wait!)

I just wish the hours of sunlight were a bit longer.

At 10 minutes to 5 pm, the race to get home before dark begins! 

I admire the fiery sunset to our west while Terry focuses on the road.

Twenty minutes later, at 5:10, we're almost home. But it's dark before we arrive.
