A few weeks ago, one of my mother's brothers, and his wife, celebrated 65 years of marriage...
(And I remember those days - when they met, dated, got engaged and were married! I was a teenager at the time.)
I wanted to create a personalized "historic" card that would surprise them, using old photographs.
My options were few: We didn't take as many pictures back then.
I scoured our family photo albums for just the right picture, and chose the top one, which included my mother and another of her brothers (the one whose funeral I attended in Edmonton last January).
It was the first Christmas after the two were married. We must have been playing music and singing Christmas carols. Both uncles played the tuba.
I did my best to create a timeline card - "now and then" - putting the photos together using an online Avery card app.
I then asked my daughter to help me make it look "professional."
I think she did a wonderful job!
Teamwork! Couldn't have done this on my own!
