After every virtual walk, participants receive a medal as a souvenir.
My Camino de Santiago metal arrived a few days ago.
On the back is a seashell - a symbol of pilgrimage. Seeing it reminded me of the "Benedictine Experience" my daughter and I participated in at Canterbury Cathedral in England. At the end of our week there, Esther de Waal, our tour leader, gave us each a seashell and explained its significance.
Mine had holes in it - perfect for making into a pendant, which I have hanging on the wall.
