Water was rushing wildly over the falls the last time we were in Almonte.
We walked halfway around our usual path, near the river, stopping to talk to a couple who told us they had been married for 60 years.
Then we headed back to Baker Bob's bake shop... near the town's current construction zone.
I'll be glad when this major renovation - new sewer pipes - will finally be completed..
I can't remember if this is the second or third summer of disruption, as construction moves slowly up the street.
Still a beautiful place to visit!
