Yesterday morning, I awakened to a fresh world of white!
Not long ago, I had come back from a few days in Toronto...
When I returned home by train, I longingly watched Toronto’s light sprinkling of snow recede in the distance...
Thanks to its proximity to Lake Ontario, Toronto has much milder weather than Ottawa. The winter that Terry and I lived in Toronto - (our second year of marriage) - there was snow on the ground for only 6 weeks.
That doesn’t happen Ottawa - or in Montreal where we had lived before that - unless we have a very, very unusual winter.
They're not that far apart - but their weather patterns are all completely different.
