Eating Oatmeal for Breakfast

For the past 3 months, I've been eating vegetarian - in the hopes that my blood sugar levels will drop.

For breakfast, I often eat a bowl of oatmeal... But without sugar, it can be a little bland.

Occasionally I eat oatmeal cold as muesli, a Swiss favorite, with yogurt and dried fruit.

 But most often I cook up a pot of oatmeal. Sometimes I add a tablespoon of raisins to sweeten it.


 
Or I cook the oatmeal with an unpeeled chopped-up apple...

The diet book I refer to suggests eating half a cup of baked beans along with it...

Others in the family add a tablespoon of peanut butter or almond butter...

I'm going to have to try that!
