In August I took a workshop with Richard Gill, a potter who creates clay relief sculptures. When the two days were over, I left my two pieces with him to be fired and painted.
Last week, Terry and I drove to the village of Burnstown for the opening of Richard's current show...
New this time are lamps resembling towns that light up from the inside...
Terry particularly liked this one - I preferred the one above.
At the same time, we picked up the two pieces I made in his workshop in August.
I especially like the one modeled after the lighthouse at Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia - a reminder of our wonderful vacation this past summer!
