Winter snow has only been here for a little over a month, and I'm already ready for spring. If spring isn't coming soon (which it isn't!) I'd love to spend a week in Hawaii. (Alas, that isn't likely either!)
For the past 10 days or so, we have had really cold weather. Really, really cold. (Temperatures hovering around -25 C / -13 F day and night, with cold winds.) The good news, is that, when it's really cold, it rarely snows. Before this really cold weather arrived, we had several major snowfalls, as well as freezing rain. For two Sundays we were unable to leave our house until the snow plow came to dig us out in the afternoon. (Our dead-end street is a really, really low priority to the city. So we settled in and enjoyed a day at home.)
Now temperatures are supposed to rise again - but (lest we get too excited) there is a snowfall warning in effect. Today is predicted to have another major snowfall!
The good news is - I'm retired, so I no longer have to fight the weather and the traffic rain or shine. And there's never a lack of things to do at home.
