Over the summer, drawing sessions at the Central Experimental Farm have become a regular part of my week - no more panic, rushing to get there; no more wondering if I am wasting my time and should be doing something else...
It's so peaceful to find a spot in the shade, to look around for one small flower...
... or leaf to try to replicate.
After two hours, I get off my little chair, with slightly stiff legs - but refreshed.
Does this practice of sitting in a quiet garden, focusing on one small flower or leaf empty the mind of daily concerns? I don't know - but drawing in a garden is definitely therapeutic!
