Just For Laughs in Montreal

We were in Montreal a year and a half ago when a new outdoor entertainment area, called Quartier des Spectacles, was being built.


















A few weeks ago we returned - during Montreal's annual "Just For Laughs" festival.


















Busy St. Catherine Street had been transformed into a pedestrian mall in the festival area.














It was fun to see the now-completed "Quartier des Spectacles" in full swing.














There were band stands...














... concession booths - even outdoor massage!


















We wandered around...














... and listened to music.














It was a lively place both during the day...














...and when we returned at night.

The weather was perfect, bringing out thousands for the free evening event. It would have been fun to see some of our favorite stand-up comics. Perhaps another time!
