After a warm spring with perfect amounts of rain to get my garden growing, the weather has turned very dry.
Now we need rain badly. (Terry tells me that we have reached drought level 2, whatever that means!)
The past few days, I have smelled - no, "tasted" smoke in the air. It reminds me of the "taste" of BC forest fires. I hear on the news that there are bush fires and grass fires in our area.
But what amazes me is that - though the lawns are dry and my flowers need watering, native flowers ("weeds") still thrive! (I wonder what drought level would impact them!)
