Terry and I recently returned to Manotick to have lunch at the Miller's Oven Tea House.
The non-profit restaurant - run by teen and senior volunteers - is both quaint and popular!
After a lunch of quiche and salad, we headed over to Watson's Mill to look around.
It's always interesting to see what's happening at this heritage grist mill.
Summer visitor season is in full swing...
There was old-fashioned clothing...
... and hats for children to try on...
As well as mill-ground whole wheat flour for sale.
My grandfather Hugo Bartz (whose father owned two mills in the Ukraine) would have loved this place!
After looking around, we headed home again - glad that this little community exists nearby. (Actually it is now part of Ottawa.)
