The ongoing sewer upgrading project in our neighborhood has given me renewed appreciation for things I usually take for granted...
Like sidewalks...
And water at the turn of the tap...
Broken pipes down the street have resulted in it being turned off a number of times.
Now I keep a pot of water on the stove, just in case...
Electricity...
These giant diggers have come in conflict with overhead wires, and we've lost electricity a few times, too.
And, of course, a clear, smooth road home...
I have undervalued predictability!
The old cliche is true: You have to lose something you take for granted in order to appreciate what you have!
