Almonte's Rushing Waters

One of our favorite nearby towns is Almonte, with its hydro electric dam and magnificent rushing waters...

At this time of year, in particular, there is something refreshing about standing near near the water and taking it all in.

After doing that for a bit, Terry is ready to head to his other favorite Almonte stop...

No visit is complete without a stop at Baker Bob's for carrot cake, bread and croissants...

It's a long way to drive for baked goods - but we want to see his business prosper during these hard economic times.

A final farewell to the water...

Then home again down country roads...  past  horses in fields.
