Raging Waters

Melting snow and rain both contribute to spring flooding - a problem in our area, where people live near rivers and lakes.

A few weeks ago, we were in Manotick, a village near Ottawa.

Even then, the water was raging and the river dam was open to let the water run free.

Houses here seem to be far high up the river bank...

I don't think there is any danger of flooding here.
