This is one of the weekends I look forward to all year long - Doors Open Ottawa, when buildings all over the city are open for the public to tour...
Over the years, Terry and I have gone to a lot of interesting buildings - the Wind Tunnel (a research facility near the airport), a training facility for Ottawa's Guide Dogs for the Blind, a large hydroponic green-house, a cold-war bomb shelter, and a hydro-electric dam on the Ottawa River, to name a few.
This year we've perused the booklet that lists all the places participating. There are hundreds to choose from. Too bad we only have time to visit a few each day!
