We have a lot of squirrels in our neighborhood... grey ones, smaller cocky red ones, and black ones.
In all my years of squirrel-watching, I have never seen a squirrel like this...
His tail isn't all that big... And he bounds around like a puppy... a little unsure on his feet.
When I first noticed him, I wondered if he was a baby, just getting used to running around... but size-wise, he looked as large as an adult.
Then it occurred to me - he was obese for a squirrel. I've never seen that before.
I wonder how that happened... Does he not have to go far for food?! Will he slim down over time?
Or will one of his predators take advantage of his slowness and take him home for lunch?!
