St Patty's Day

I don't recall ever celebrating St. Patrick's Day - though I have great regard for the patron saint of Ireland, based on what I read in the fascinating book, How the Irish Saved Civilization...

But on a recent trip to Toronto, I noticed that St. Patrick's Day plans were well underway: A few large green "leprechauns" were handing out party invites to a nearby pub...

And a green-haired girl was walking down the street in front of me!

(I guess we all remember St. Patrick in our own way!)
