Getting Away

I haven't been away all winter, so I decided to spend a few mid-March days in Toronto.














 I was hoping, of course, that Toronto's snow would all be gone!














As I rode on the train, I scanned the scenery rushing past me to see how much snow still covered the the towns and farms along the St. Lawrence River.














Spring usually comes earlier here!














But it has been a snowy winter for us all.














My spirits lifted as we approached Toronto...

Perhaps I could walk outdoors and leave my boots behind!
