More Afghan Inspiration

In the hall outside my mother's room hangs a framed picture of a swing on a veranda overlooking the ocean.

Such a peaceful scene! On the swing lies a blue and white afghan crocheted in "waves."














Why not make one like it?!

So I have started... my first crocheting project of the fall season! (I only wish I had found a lighter denim-colored blue! Oh well, maybe the color will fade!)

There are a lot of ripple or wave patterns online. The one I'm doing is a little more like this. (In my afghan, I crochet until I use up all the yarn on a ball - then switch colors. Each wave of ripples is a whole ball of yarn.)
