I recently read about a writer who wrote her first novel when she was in her 40s, and went on to write 60 books before she died at the age of 82. In an article she wrote in her 60s, she says: Nobody is ever too old to begin writing. Timidity, not age, is your enemy. (Writers Digest March 1999)
I thought of her when I watched this You Tube video of an 86 year old German gymnast doing head stands and cart wheels. She began gymnastics at the age of 30! (And she's still going strong!) Here is her doing another routine on the parallel bars - at a masters competition. Totally amazing!
And for those who have thought they are "too young" to do something - meet a young girl who started a fashion blog called "Style Rookie" at the age of 11. Several years later, still a teenager (but no longer a "rookie"), she has started an online magazine!
Again one could say: "Timidity, not age is your enemy."
Now what is it that you've always wanted to do, but you think you're too young or too old?!!
(I'm asking myself the same question!)
