It's not every day that I get referenced in the newspaper, but it happened recently...
The boy is an adult now, but he still remembers heading to the newly-build Palladium for a "monster truck rally." It was fun for both of us! I always wanted to see one!
Yes, we sat in the "nosebleed section" - in the cheapest seats! Halfway through the show, I realized why they were actually the best seats in the house! That’s when the diesel fuel smell from all those revving engines (trapped in an indoor space) reached our level.
I pitied the folks who had smelled the fumes from the very beginning - and was happy to eventually leave.
(We attend events with others, but we all remember different things!!)
