After I posted the picture of my late-blooming Christmas cactus with its red flowers, my cousin sent me this picture of her pink-flowered Christmas cactus.
It bloomed on January 19 - on Armenian Christmas, she informed me.
How many Christmas days are there? I wondered.
I checked online and, sure enough, although the eastern orthodox church celebrates Christmas on January 7, Jerusalem Armenians celebrate Christmas on January 19.
One Armenian blogger said that her family celebrated 3 Christmases days every year!
Now, wouldn't that be fun?!
