Fresh From the Kiln...

I recently brought home my first pottery of the year...

Two batches...

One yellow (a glaze called "Lord Jim")...

Another dark blue (called "denim")...

My new system is to glaze all pots the same color, on any one day. That saves time having to mix glazes. All these pots were glazed on two different occasions, but fired in the same kiln.

I'm happy with these two "stands" I created in hand-building. The bigger one can hold my Ipad, the smaller my Iphone or Ipod.

If I were into selling my pottery, I'd probably make more of those. They could be handy.
